This is Vivian’s daughter Erica at the keyboard. As most of you will be aware by now, my wonderful mother passed away on 30th September in the wee hours of the morning. After many painful days and months, she was finally peaceful when she went, her devoted husband at her side, as always.
WELCOME
Come away from the madding crowd to a place of peace, quiet, reflection, and now, a crafting element! I have become mad about knitting and, luckily, all forms of creativity are one in the Tranquil Garden! Instead of relaunching a whole site, and possibly losing my old posts, of which I am still very fond, I decided to expand my focus and change the look. Not sure quite how this is going to go, but since it’s for my own pleasure, first and foremost, I guess I’ll just feel my way.
It’s the beginning of spring as I write this and what a wonderful time to be in the garden! If you’re a first-time viewer who is not only a knitter but also a gardener (I’m sure you’re out there!), you might want to peruse my old posts and look at the pictures I’ve taken of gardens I’ve visited, as well as my own, The Tranquil Garden. So, welcome!!
I can’t bear to remove my John Keats quote, which is still apropos and beautiful, so here it stays.

Here are a few images of the Tranquil Garden to entice you inside…

So, yesterday I got the news about the CT scan and it wasn’t good. My wonderful nurse practitioner, Andreane, didn’t mince words. She said the cancer is still spreading so she nixed the idea...
Lake St Peter

It’s so quiet here, especially compared to NDG, where the city is busy changing pipes and road configurations on both our street and the adjoining street. It’s been an unpleasant summer, partly due to the construction and partly the weather. Anybody else notice an uptick in crappy weather this year? Pretty sure I’m not the only one. It’s hard to believe there are people who don’t believe in climate change. At this point it’s like not...
